WORSHIP AT ST. PATRICK'S
"Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness" - Ps 96:9
Morning Prayer (Mattins)
At Saint Patrick's Anglican Church, we offer congregants of all ages a chance to give back by joining our wide range of ministries. Our Faith Development Programs allows current members or newcomers to be involved with our ongoing mission of spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ to our ever-growing community. Giving back is ingrained into our philosophy and it’s at the root of our very being.
The Eucharist is at the heart of Christian worship. Variously called the Mass, Holy Communion or the Lord’s Supper, it is the traditional action of taking and sharing bread and wine in memory of Jesus.
Evensong is a particularly English style of evening prayer, celebrated by Anglicans around the world. Its roots are in the long history of Christians gathering to pray on an evening. Its English incarnation dates from Thomas Cranmer’s first Book of Common Prayer in 1549, in which he blended the mediaeval Latin offices of Vespers (evening prayer) and Compline (night prayer) to produce English Evensong as the regular prayer at the end of the day.
